Read about the timing chain tensioner issue on some older EA111 and early EA211 engines. My Polo is a 2017 1.2 TSI. Rattle noise on cold start that goes away after 30 seconds. Should I be worried or is this normal for this engine?

Mine did this too, was the tensioner, replaced under a goodwill warranty extension VW ran a few years back. Worth asking your service center if it still applies to your VIN.

That rattle on cold start is a known symptom, get the tensioner checked at ASS, better safe than a snapped chain.
