Been seeing chatter about a potential JSW-Volkswagen Group India partnership doing the rounds. If this actually goes through, genuinely curious what it means for existing Skoda/VW owners here - localisation, spares availability, resale value, service network expansion?
Anyone have more concrete info than the usual auto-portal speculation?

From what I have gathered it is still very much at the discussion stage, nothing official from Skoda Auto Volkswagen India yet. If it happens though, a domestic partner with JSW scale could genuinely help with the localisation numbers and long-term parts pricing - that has been the biggest owner complaint for years.

Would also hope it means faster dealership expansion into tier-2 cities. Right now anyone outside NCR/major metros is stuck with limited service centres, my cousin in Dehradun has to drive 90 minutes for anything beyond basic service.
